Its been way too long my friends, from updates (or lack of them) I see that everyone's had a pretty busy summer and fall. Its been the same for me, just one thing after another and then on a lazy Saturday I realize that I haven't updated in forever...

Don't know about the rest of you but I can't believe its almost September!

I've been doing a bunch of things this summer:

- Softball. It went well this year, we played good together and had a pretty solid team. No super dramatic ending like last year, we actually just lost out of the tournament on Friday. Can't wait to play next year. Oh and I had a bunch of diving catches, so many that its like the big joke on our team. I even had a few that I didn't catch but the ump called them out anyway. I know, I'm awesome like that.

- OLYMPICS!!! I barely did anything the last 2 weeks except watch hours and hours of olympics. Swimming was awesome, Phelps = amazing...but sheesh, Dana Torres is my hero.

- Work. I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed lately, mainly because I'm getting the "oh shit I was going to work on our site during the summer and classes start soon...I know I'll get Heather to work on it" Yeaaaaah thanks. Sometimes I wish just one person could help me do the little things. Oh! But on a good note-- I moved into a new office.... I have a window!!! Something so minor makes a big difference.

- Gym. I joined a pretty sweet gym and I'm going there quite a lot, even more now since softball is over. I'm gonna start swimming and soon the roommate and I are going to get certified to use the rock wall. Pretty syked about that.

- tv. Yay, soon some of the great shows will be back to make me happy. Although to be fair I'm really enjoying Burn Notice this summer. So the one I'm most excited about is called Sanctuary, It'll be on SciFi and premieres Oct 3rd. Amanda Tapping stars and actually last fall this show had 8 online webisodes. Coolest thing about it-- something like 85% is shot on a green screen. I've also managed to get the roommate into Terminator, Chuck, Dexter and Kyle XY...next is Pushing Daises.

- Apartment. I can't believe people stay sane with this rental company. I love the apartment but they take FOREVER to fix things. It took over a month for them to install our new bathroom floors and roommate had to throw a fit about our washing machine before they just gave in and installed a new one. Too bad our dryer still doesn't turn off unless we keep the door open, and our dish washer runs super loud. At least in both instances they work, its just very annoying. Plus at night there is only 1 streetlight to show the entrance. So if anyone ever attempts to find my place at dark...good luck.

- Looking ahead. The weather is getting touchy, sometimes its super warm and some days are chilly. As sad as this might sound I really can't wait to snowboard.

Can't wait!!

Yeah it needed some updating so instead of making small changes I decided to start over. Hopefully I'll have some time this week to design a header and give it a little more love but its a start...oh new one for the profile as well. I'd do it now but I just consumed way too much pizza and I think a quick nap is next on my list.

I finished the Harry Potter series this week. Overall I'm pretty happy the outcome. Most of my friends can't stand that I didn't read the books but the audiobooks worked really well for car rides and had a great narrator. Plus I seem to have this problem with only reading 3/4 of a book....

So yeah, instead of doing things like working on my portfolio on my 11 days off last month, I started (and finished...yup all 10 seasons) watching Stargate SG1. *sigh* another character crush = I love Carter.  I'll probably start watching Atlantis real soon.

Softball is going pretty awesome. I love the team this year, they are a great group. We're playing well too, we've lost bad both times we've played the best team in the league, but we don't play them again for the rest of the season.

My sister just moved to Cleveland, she got a pretty sweet apartment too. I'm looking forward to hanging out with her in the big city.

Ahh... a few days off. The first of many this month actually. I get 20 vacation days at this job and I have only used 9, soooo I get 11 days off this month. The plan is to do some freelance and get my portfolio updated.

I'm pretty much all moved to the new place, still some unpacking left to do and some stuff to buy but its definitely coming together. Maybe when it looks less like furniture and blank walls I'll post some photos. That's where I'm lacking, need some decor....working on it though. I get lost pretty often out here, I only moved 30 miles from home but I never really came out this direction to do anything, so I got a GPS, I hope that helps.

Vacation was pretty good, a few warm days, a few chilly and one rainy. Still managed to have a good time. Rented a Jeep again, well actually my roommate Chris did, and he did a great offroad run that had me holding on to the "oh shit" bars a few times. We drove 15 miles up the beach to the Virginia border and saw soo many of the wild horses, I counted 82 on the way back but we missed a few herds when we were off-roading. Oh and I tried sushi, didn't like it much.

Started softball last week. I didn't get to play since we had a few practices when I was on vacation and since we had 17 people show up our "coach" had to let them play. Unfortunately it wasn't pretty, we got beat terribly. I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't do much more than cheer and try to keep everyone up. Oh well, that's how we started off last year and after a few games we finally clicked and played awesome. Went to practice yesterday so I should be playing Wednesday and hopefully we can turn this around.

OH! I finally started the last Harry Potter book!!! Only on Chapter 5...and its sad already :(

Hello everyone.  Maaaan I've been pretty busy. Between everything going on and the nice weather (grr to it dropping down to the 40s for a few days) I've been MIA.

The most exciting news-- I'm moving in less than 2 weeks! YAY! I've started packing, actually I'd say I'm about half done. Pretty much all that's left is computers, game consoles and clothes. I went to ikea on Saturday and got a bed, a dresser, a chair, and a few other smaller things. I still need a desk. My mom talked me out of getting the one I liked there because it wasn't in the same color as my bed. Browsing around the internet and I'm not finding anything I like. *sigh* oh well.

Soooo how about BSG and Lost? Oh yeah, I finally started watching Dexter- wow, what a first season.

So I started watching yet ANOTHER show... Kyle XY. Its good, and very enjoyable. I just finished season 1 today and will be getting into season 2 as quickly as I can. I'm also going to give Dexter a look and then probably Stargate SG1. I really watch way too much TV. How about LOST??? Oh man, that show is blowing my mind. But I REALLY can't wait for BSG....34 more days!! And only 18 or so till I get the season 3 dvds. YAY!! LOTS OF LUCY!

Snowboarding tonight!! I'm so happy the snow has stuck around, I bet I've gone over 10 times this year and I'm starting to do some rails. I got my sister addicted to it too, so now I have someone that's willing to go almost every weekend. Now I just want it to stick around until next weekend- my brother is coming home for spring break and since he enjoyed it so much after Christmas I just hope I can get him out there one more time this year.

My friend and I found where we want to live (Village of Western Reserve). By the time we made the decision to move in there were no more available. We're putting in a small deposit and an application for one that will be available in May but there's a small chance one might open up sooner. I'm a little bummed because mentally I was so ready to move. But this gives me a solid 2 months to save up and pack so it might not be so bad in the end.

Have I mentioned to any of you that my sister bought a Mini Cooper? Its awesome, I might have to look into getting one for myself....someday.
